Last-Click Attribution

A single-touch attribution model that assigns 100% of conversion credit to the final marketing touchpoint before a conversion event. It's the most widely used historical default in ad platforms. It systematically overvalues lower-funnel channels (branded search, retargeting, and the like) and undervalues upper-funnel discovery channels, creating misleading signals that drive chronic underinvestment in brand.
